Tenzing Search are recruiting for a Finance Director, to be based in Surrey, our client is looking to recruit a replacement for the outgoing incumbent who is retiring. Our client is a manufacturing business with one or two sites in Europe and distribution globally. The role reports directly into the Managing Director and will be responsible for the entire finance function.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and manage the finance staff across the entire finance function. Involving coaching, mentoring and career development.
- Create and monitor the financial strategy, aligned with the business objectives.
- Develop and manage the company’s annual operating budget to ensure all financial targets are met and financial and statutory regulations complied with.
- Provide guidance and support to internal leaders and stakeholders.
- Responsible for the commercial contracts and services used externally.
- Present and guide the Board with presentations and commentary.
- Implement and monitor internal controls and ongoing governance as required.
- Responsible for ensuring the Audit is managed successfully.
- Access, manage and minimise risk.
- Ensure continual improvements and transformation remain high on the agenda.
- Work closely with the relevant teams to guarantee strong digital and security offerings.
- Responsible for VAT, corporation tax and overall management of the debt portfolio.
Required Skills & Experience
- Must be fully qualified – ACA, ACCA or CIMA
- Strong leadership traits.
- Strategic thinker.
- Commercial acumen and ability to translate financial subjects into easily adopted business initiatives.
- Previous M&A and investor relations exposure useful.
- Will have led businesses through significant change previously.
- Previous manufacturing exposure is beneficial.
Key Information
The role is a Financial Director role, based in Surrey, reporting directly into the Managing Director of a Manufacturing business.
It is a permanent position, starting ASAP and flexible around compensation packages, depending on experience levels.
